Chamber receives more than 400 cases with more than 169 million riyals
AlNuaim: we are keen to improve the law culture of business sector
Asharqia Chamber's Legal Affairs Department has received over the past year more than 426 cases, amounting more than more than 169 million riyals, of which 389 cases belongs to commercial paper cases (checks, bills of exchange) worthing (93,722,284 riyals), and 35 commercial cases amounting (12,789,531 riyals), and one case of arbitration amounting (SR 63,169,812) and the Department was able to close 64 cases, 148 were referred case to the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
On the other hand the number of beneficiaries of consulting provided by the Department during the past year 2009 within 426 people, including 253 people benefited from legal advice through telephone and 173 persons by personal attendance.
The Secretary of the Chamber Mr. Adnan bin Abdullah Al-Nuaim explained these legal services and consultancy offered by the Chamber aims to raise the level chamber members.
Furthermore; the Chamber has implemented over the past year several training courses in areas of law ,most important was the basic rules in the arbitration in cooperation with the Centre for Commercial Arbitration of the GCC, as well as course of preparing the arbitrator ( beginning and experience), also in cooperation with the GCC Attribution Center.
